A. Scott Anderson was the president and CEO of Zions Bank from 1998 until this year, when he stepped down from his role to serve as the non-executive chairman.

A native of Salt Lake City, Anderson was selected as a “Giant in Our City” by the Salt Lake Chamber, and has served on nonprofit/community boards including the Americans for the Arts Business Committee for the Arts, Days of ‘47 Rodeo, World Trade Center Utah, Utah Sports Commission, Economic Development Corporation of Utah, and the Orrin G. Hatch Foundation.

Anderson received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and economics from Columbia University in New York. He also received a master’s degree in economics and international studies from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Active in community affairs, Anderson currently serves on a number of business and nonprofit boards.
